Storm Damage Shingle Repair After High Wind Event

Project Overview

Emergency storm damage repair on a single-story ranch in Wayne following a severe thunderstorm with 60+ mph gusts. Homeowner called after spotting loose shingles in the front yard.

Analysis

Wind lift had torn approximately 40 shingles across two sections of the front slope. Several ridge cap shingles were missing and one vent boot had partially detached. No decking damage, no interior leaks reported yet.

Process

Arrived within 6 hours of the call. Tarped the exposed area temporarily while sourcing matching shingles. Returned next morning to complete the permanent repair in one day.
